Handwritten in pencil is the number "23"(which refers to an entry in the 1899 Perth Museum accession register: 1899.54.39) and "Lingula anatina/Beally?/ Lamboanga and Philippines/at low tide. 23.10.74". "Lamboanga" may be a misprint? for Zamboanga, a large coastal city and region located at the southern tip of the Phillipines. The 1899.54.39 entry states "Lamboanga Philippines (low tide) 23.10.74".
