Notes: One of nearly 600 specimens from the Challenger expedition received by D'Arcy Thompson in 1899-1900. This species was found in the following locations: Samboagan, 10 fathoms; Kandavu reefs; Tongatabu reefs, 18 fathoms, July 21 1874; Papeete reef, 1875; Honolulu, August 1875 and Cebu, Philippine Islands
