Notes: Handwritten label accompanying specimen reads "Very coarse calcareous sand rock. Shore of Malanipa island ["Mi" crossed out] Philippines. With fossilised Strombus from the same bed.". General handwritten label accompanying the Malanipa specimens reads "Malanipa Island Off Mindonao Philippines near Zamboanga entrance of Basilan Channel. The island is mainly composed of serpentine. but has beds of coral sand rock and shore conglomerate on the shore. These shore beds are parallel to the shore in strike and dip seawards with an angle of about 10┬░ above the natural beach slope. In --- places the serpentine is exposed on the beach forming small headlands. --- serpentine from the beach ---".
