Notes: From a collection of shells made by Dr. Crosbie, who was doctor to the "Challenger" Expedition. Two specimens. In the Challenger reports Trigonella is often a synonym for Mactra. Mactra contraria is a synonym of Austromactra contratiria (Reeve, 1854). This identification does need checking.
