Notes: Sample in circular card pill box. Writing in ink on lid reads "Magnetic Sand Sifted out by wind levigation. From the river at Punta Arenas Straits of Magellan PTO", and on the base, "In the bed of the river alluvial gold is worked.". Handwritten label accompanying sample reads "Magnetic Sand from the River at Punta Arenas Sts of Magellan".
