Notes: Handwritten label accompanying specimen reads "Coal from the mines at Punta Arenas Strs of Magellan". Another handwritten label reads "Coal from the mines at Punta Arenas Srs of Magellan. A railway seven miles in length brings the coal to the settlement. It is delivered to steamers at 6 dollars a ton".
