Notes: Specimen in Dent's collar box. Handwritten label accompanying specimens reads "Pipe clay. or rock from which it is manufactured Cebu. Philippines". Another handwritten label reads "Portions of beds containing gypsum from hills behind the town of Cebu Philippines. The rock & earth is worked for the manufacture of pipe clay of which a specimen ["in the form" crossed out] is added of the form made for sale.".
