Description

Notes: The handwritten ink label loose with the specimens states "Amusium pleuronectes". Written in ink below this, is another handscript stating, "Chall. Exp. Sta.188". The outer box lid bears the pre-printed blue bordered adhesive label, with the handwritten ink inscription "468" and "Chall.Exp." and "Amusium pleuronectes, Linne". The number (468) refers to an entry in the Catalogue of the Conchological Collections in the Perth Museum, by Henry Coates, FSA, dated 1925.
