Notes: Cut, Pre-printed label in phial of spirit states "Challenger" Expedition" and "Pres. by Brit. Mus: Nov.99." Handwritten pencil name in centre states "Tanais willemoesi/Kerguelen/120 faths". The Excell record records a date of "29.1.1874" and place name as "Christmas harbour (off) & Kerguelen Islands & Indian Ocean". Placed in a large jar of spirit, (labelled "Isopoda - non Perths,") with a number of non-"Challenger" specimens.
