Ascension Island back to Portsmouth (stations 344 to 354)

After about  three and a half years of being on the water, the great scientific voyage was coming to an end. From Ascension Island, the boat stopped off at St Vincent, Cape Verde and went back through the Azores. On 21 May, the boat was heading back towards Portsmouth.

They  had collected material at over 360 stations (some stations were split into several letters – e.g. 149A to 149K) the voyage finally ended on 24 May 1876.
